Ouch -- the drive back to Houston from New Braunfels was BRUTAL today! Lots of truck traffic on I-10 and very little chance to set the cruise and go. Glad to have that work week in the rear view!
The last few times I drove that route I must have been lucky...not much traffic.
Whats wrong? I use to get 16 mpg with my '04 running 35" tires.

She had two of them years ago that required surgery to break them up and have them removed. Doctors visit Monday if she can't pass them.
That's the economy in motion....hopefully the trucks were loaded and not empty! We're about due for a trip to League City to visit the wife's sister and her husband. I usually take 90 to Lafayette and then I-10 to 146 to Kemah...they live around South Shore Harbor. Only a little over 300 miles from here.
Needs a few things cleaned and was in a rush yesterday
She's capaple of getting over 20, but gotta diligently clean the throttle body/mad and such, and BABYYY her at about 50 mph

Kind of reminded me of driving I-10 between Houston and Beaumont with all the truck traffic -- the drive between Houston and San Antonio tends to be much more bucolic!
I'll be down in League City myself sometime in the next couple of weeks -- got a call from one of our sales reps yesterday about a big townhome complex right on the water that got inundated with all the rain we had in May. Got to let the project dry out a little more and then head down there to see if we can save the OSB subfloors.
