A friend of mine just saw a new truck at the dealer, $74,000 sticker.

There are a lot of new 2015's on dealer lots here in Ohio. As I've saidnbefore, wouldn't buy one. That's diesel territory

I just have no desire for a diesel, but that price is insane. He said it had everything including ramps. It would have to come with a Mustang attached for that price.

Yeah that's sickening. I eventually want a diesel when I get a welding shop going eventually. To me its useful and I want a Cummins...2wd 3500 crew cab dually 6speed manual and make a nice 10' flat bed for it. Work it.

The cost if new vehicles is crazy. But people want luxury crap. Not my cup of tea. Let me go and buy a Lariat...get some nice fake wood trim and fake leather. Waste of money.

$74,000 would cover all of what I paid for my '05 F-150 and my '08 Mustang GT combined and still leave me with around $20,000 to play with for gas and mods!

The wife and I make a pretty decent combined income and the prices on these new trucks put them far beyond what I would ever be willing to spend for a new vehicle -- I can't imagine what it does to the budget of the "twentysomething" idiot who buys one on the spur-of-the-moment one Saturday afternoon and then throws in another $5-$10 grand for rims, tires, a lift and a toolbox......

Passed a small house in Burleson on Monday with a 2015 Platinum parked in the front yard. You would be hard pressed to sell the house for as much as that Platinum cost. That is just crazy.

Of course, that 74,000 was sticker on that truck and it had every option, I'm sure, but I bet it would still cost you $60,000 to buy it.

I saw a maroon King Ranch on the road the other day and I wasn't overly impressed. Looked good from the front but the rear leaves a lot to be desired. Bet it was up in the $60's.
