Glad I got both my F-150 and my Mustang when I did, although if I had to do over I might have gotten a '09-'14 body style instead so I would have the 5.0 versus the 5.4.
However, hindsight is always 20-20 and once I add a "retrobird" to my stable I figure I'll have nothing to hang my head about as the years go by.

I was totally happy with my 2005 5.4. No problems in 135,000 miles. My 2011 and 2014 5.0s run stronger though and get better mpg. No problems with them either except for the stupid amount of oil it takes to change the oil. Why would you make a pan that holds 7.7 quarts? The dealer here just puts in 7 so I always add after a change.

Maybe mine was such a dog because it was a 2V (2000 model year). We've had another one in the family, as well as a few 4.6s over the years, and I was never fond of any of them. Absolutely loved the trucks, but not too impressed with the V8s. That being said, I still would have considered a 5.0 when I was shopping. Just ended up with the EB.
