I get tired of eating out. It's always too much food and too rich for a steady diet of it. So, I bring my lunch to work. Always a slice of American cheese, wheat bread with mayo, chips and a banana or apple.

At the tire shop for a rotation because I'm too lazy to do it myself anymore. Just noticed there's a leak in the front of the rear diff where the driveshaft connects. I think it might be the pinion seal. Time for my first factory warranty repair adventure!

Yeah -- it was a pretty leisurely lunch break! After 20+ years of working in my home office, my wife says I'd never be able to handle going back to an office setting where people actually monitor your comings and goings......

Gorgeous fall day, delicious Texas brisket, a picnic table in the shade with my newspaper to read as I watched cars whizz by on a country two-lane -- yep, sounds like the perfect setting for an extended lunch break!

On the way home, I even stopped at Mickey D's and got the wife a big Diet Coke and the boy two chocolate-chip cookies and dropped them off at their school as a special surprise -- it was a pretty good day!

Yeah. I don't have good luck with pinion seals. Happened to my old red truck too. Twice actually. At least this truck is under warranty, which is a first for me.
