I read where you are not supposed to use it on pavement, just off road. I assume it is ok to use it on ice to get going.

Yes.

The main issue with using it on dry pavement comes with turning since it will want to bind since one wheel will turn faster than the other while turning.

It should automatically disengage at like 25mph and then re-engage around 20mph.

On my truck the same **** that controls the 4x4 engagement also controls the E lock...just pull it out. Not sure about the 4x2 models.

I'll blame it on my wife, she won't discuss another color. Although I love the black, I could live with a silver one.

Yes it is. Best place I have found for buying a vehicle. The internet salesman I bought from is a straight shooter and he listens to what you have to say.
