But the point is that if you could afford a real Rover, you'd get one.

And they're all extremely expensive, over-priced, poorly made, terribly unreliable, always-got-a-broken-air ride-suspension POS. We literally steer people away from buying them if at all possible

The newer ones 06+ are much more reliable than the Disco II for example, or even worse, the F word (Freelander)

The LR4 for example is much nicer, and much more capable and cheaper than its compition of big luxury SUV's (Escalade, QX56)

The new ones are still piles compared to everything else. They are by far and away the biggest repeat offenders for weird stuff breaking at the dealership. If you buy one brand new and you go more than 2 years without breaking a major component on the air-ride, I'll give you a trophy.

And LR4s are still 50k+, unreliable compared to the other 2, and also much smaller. More capable, perhaps, but very few people use any of those vehicles as anything other than a family mobile or a status symbol.

The X6M is where it's at! Stupid, stupid, stupid fast for an SUV!

the x5m and the x6m have the same chasis and power train....the only thing that's diffent is the outer design and interior plus the x5m weighs 100 lbs more....

I used to work for Land Rover, I saw lots of crazy S*** but the 10+ 5.0L is beast and very reliable. We had lots of customers we only saw once a year for their 15k and 30k services.
