What's the keypad entry good for? I've never understood the purpose except if the keyless entry/alarm battery fails. But then again there is the good old key... lol

I use mine all the time when I am outside without my keys and need in the truck.

get into the truck without keys
allows purposefully lock keys in the car (like at the pool)
prevent accidental locking of keys in car
lock all doors from outside

I use Sarah's all the time, I can put something in her car when i leave for work, and not have to carry her keys with me all day

All trivial stuff for me. My wife has it on her car and we've never used it.

Its not trivial if you've ever accidentally locked yourself out, when you were alone without a second set of keys

I've never locked a set of keys in a vehicle in my life. My wife did once but that was a car prior to that technology. Trivial.
