We never lost power. Must be an "in town" thing.

It's a My neighborhood thing. Across the street never loses power, different grid than our side.

I reported several gas stations to the AG's office for price gouging.

Good job. Gas here has gone up 30 cents in a day.

I went down to the Conoco earlier, topped off. They had gone up a dime, 3.55.

Edit: That post looked like a Mattineer post!

I filled up Thursday, prior to the gouging.

Just heard from my son, they are in Austin. They found out that there is no damage to their home in Beaumont. Found out earlier that my daughter's house appears intact. So maybe they lucked out

If the stations had gone up .50ish to make it an even $4, I could live with it. It's when they go up to $5 that something should be done. Our governor issued a state of emergency simply for the gouging. Gas can be hiked like 20% but no more under SOE.

There's plenty of stations here still at $4.50 or more.

That's good. I kept hearing Beaumont last night/this morning on the Ike news coverage.
My wife's sister lost power and a fence in north Houston, her sister's parents parents had some damage to their house in Houston.

I'll pick the team that wears black shoes. White shoes are for wimps.
