You diesel tractor guys. The Ford tractor I am messing with is a 2 cylinder diesel. On the key swith, the order is Heat, Off, On, Start. Am I correct in assuming I need to turn it to the left to let the glow plug heat before I try to start it?

Here's one like it.

Jim, that would be correct. The only other thing I would do is figure out who's motor is powering that tractor just so you have an idea of what parts availability, dealer support, and lead times are in case something breaks. Kubota,Yanmar, Izuzu......... you get the idea.

Ford bought and resold this model from Shibaura, a Japanese company, from 1979 through 1982.

Kinda had a senior moment leftover from a couple of weeks ago hit me today.....I'm going to try and finally get those extended bags on the harley but i had wanted to get some extra parts to help along the fitment process.....i needed 4 grommets and 4 bag rail cushions.....this is where my brain fart catches up with my wallet......

online prices grommets were 4x$0.83 ea+ $4.75s+h=$8.07
...........bag rail cushions were 4x$4.00 ea+ $6.00s+h=$22.00......a grand total of $30.07

Went to the dealer to get them for the grand total of $58.00

sometimes its nice to be able to get stuff locally and not have to wait for the brown truck to show up

and not to mention its much easier to return stuff to a physical store than it is online

Upgrading sub to alpine 8" or image dynamics 8"

Thoughts???
I'm in the same boat as well. Just put a Kenwood NAV unit in the truck. Taking the Kenwood that was in the truck and putting it in the Focus, then get new speakers all around because these are absolutely horrible, and take a spare JBL 10" sub I have and put it in.

My dad had a little Ford, maybe 1 size up from that one. We only had to use the heater for first start in the morning, after that it fired up just going to start. Keep good fuel in it and it shoule start and run like a champ.

His was the 4wd model, awsum little tractor. His had the hydrolic up and down for the rear implements, works way better than the gravity down on the Kubota's.

Morning. Going to be a long day, three hours of sleep does not cut it. But 6 great games of racquetball, dinner with friends, and a movie sure make for a hell of a fun night and takes the sting out of not getting enough sleep.
