Nail don't look bad, - manicure sucks, other than that, just the cut. Use Neosporin on that.

Or lots of Windex.
It would look worse if I hadn't had gloves on. I am icing it with a cold beer watching the Packer/Vikings game at the moment and wife want's to take me to the ER to have it looked at. That's not gonna happen.....

Sorry to hear that PawPaw, I will take a smashed thumb over lower back pain any day and that sucks about missing the game.

Crazy thing is I was riding with my Grandson and he saw it happen. I hit the throttle to get out and popped a wheelie and came down real hard. Lucky the 800 pound machine didn't fall on me or I'd have been at the emergency room. Cut my hand, lost my cap and continued riding for about an hour till the back started hurting real bad. Took a hot shower 4 advil and went to bed. Had to roll out of bed this morning but OK now.

ER wouldn't be fun. Unless you enjoy standing around with your thumb up your ***. Well not quite, not this time anyway...

If your lucky, you might get a script for halfway decent pain killers, but that's about it.

It didn't blow out did it ? That's just a cut or scrape on top right ? If you can't move or bend that first joint, then you better make the trip IMO. If you smashed hard enough to burst, you should go in as well. At least hit the family doc tomorrow.

Just took another look at it, - the joint not out of wack is it ? Does it work ?

It's just swollen and sore, I can bend it a little and the skin got peeled back on top other than that it's going to just be ugly and sore for a while. I hate going to the doctors and knowing my luck I will get my dad's friend that's an ER doc and a hockey player to boot. He would just tell meyeah you smashed it good, suck it up and go home.

Has no effect if you only use 2 fingers!

Was very foggy coming into East Texas last night and coming to work this morning was much worse. Even missed one turn off down in the woods, had to turn around and look for it.
