I was on my way home tonight from getting my tires mounted the wind was blowing pretty good. I had the cruise set on 65 going down a flat part of highway and as soon as i started up a small grade, barely noticeable, the truck downshifted and the wind started blowing me all over the place.

I think that's the second time I've ever had this truck downshift on a hill

Stay Safe Will.

And FF's answer to what he used to do his install.

Stumped. Also you think O2 extensions will be good enough ie no connectivity problems? Not wanting to do a splice.
Ford racing lines up perfectly.....although they're shorties...

Yeah the ports on yours are different than the OBX's. Dynatechs use metal gaskets, maybe the OBX's do to?

Guess I'll just get the Ford gaskets and stage 8 locking header bolts to be done with it.

I still feel like there is a vibration near 70+ I don't go that fast with them anymore, so I'll live with it. I don't know if it because I get more steering wheel feedback with such a larger tire width than what I had before?

I also WOT'd twice to keep the truck cleaned out. These things take off when tuned

Night Test in my 8am and then a speech in my 9:30 class So annoying

I don't think that's what they did, but I know they offer it. I might look into it this summer... I was thinking of asking when I had them done, but I gotta recoup the cost first

It has its pros and cons....
Pros majority of all wheels and tires out there it can do....
Cons heavy lugged and oversized tires including medium commercial it doesn't like.....

It's in this post, the same one you quoted from me earlier.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/4329104-post10.html

You can see how the Ford gaskets don't match up with the OBX header. Not sure if it'll affect the seal or not.

Another thing Pat, can't find the Ford gaskets for $120, they are way cheaper on Tasca ford parts.
