It was a turd floater for a while here.

Had to go to the plant hospital at work today. I injured my lower back last Friday afternoon at work. The plant hospital sent me to an offsite medical clinic and they say I have back spasms and prescribed me a pain killer, muscle relaxer and an anti inflammatory. Put some temporary work codes on me as well, for a week.

My back hurt so bad this morning it took me about 20 minutes to be able to straighten it up. Never had back spasms before.

I have. First time, scared me to death. Thought I was paralyzed. Never had pain like that since.

I'm waiting on dinner so I can take some of the pills. I know it'll do the trick.

I had to use the wall to pull myself off the bed and get some clothes on to go to the doc. He said it was a herniated disk or a spasm. If the pills helped it relax then I would be able to straighen up. If they didn't then he would do surgery. I had to soak in a tub of hot water as hot as I could stand. Those pills put me out. I learned to tell when it was coming on and head it off. It's usually caused from lots of stress and not enough exercise to relieve the stress.

I work with a guy only 50 years old with these spasms frequently. Had 3 vertebrae collapse or something on his lower spine. Ever since the surgery he has had back spasms. Doesn't sound like they are easy to deal with. They offered to do another surgery, but he didn't wanted to get cut open again

I think I was 28 when I had the first one. Then early 30s for second.

Btw guys, completed my bus training. Going to the RMV this week to upgrade my License. Class B, air brakes and passenger endorsements. All four of us passed, one shouldn't have. Quite frankly, he sucked, and the examiner passed him I think out of pity

Ouch Will!
If I were to choose between the pain of back spasms or kidney stones, I'd rather go with the back spasms.
Had kidney stones in my twenties and back spasms in my thirties.
What's around the corner for the forties? I don't really want to find out.
