Holy Moly! A 36" solid oak door 1 3/4 " thiick is one heavyassed monster. I got it off and out into the yard on saw horses to sand and paint. Had to get a neighbor to help me get it hung again. Was all the two of us could do. No hardware on it left you no hand hold. Man, I am tired! Looks very good though. Glad it's done.

Not exactly, but I had no idea it would be that heavy. I'm sore!

They don't even make solid oak doors anymore. Those things you carry are most likely fiberglass. Besides, you're a gorilla, I'm an old buffalo, I can still push and pull, but not as good at carrying.

Time flies when you are busy...

Gotta wake at 6:30 am... and be ready... won't get done till about 10pm... and then I got to do it all over again on Tuesday, and I am working 8 am to 10 pm... Wednesday I will be working 8 am to 3pm and I got to be at my other job, driving that track team down at 4 pm and probably won't be done driving till around 8 pm or maybe later... gonna see if I can break 100 hours this week...

I asked for work a couple months ago... now I got work!

I'm off to sleep... cheers fellas.

All is well, thanks. Reading a book and checking the posts occasionally. How are you?

Aside from a really frustrating day at work, I'm good. We finally have some decent weather and I've managed to get a little, very much needed, yard work done!

There is such a short window when you have to get a lot done in the spring. Never get it all done.

Yea, and with all the snow we had this year, we're pretty far behind. I still have patches of snow in a few spots. I have to rake gravel out of the yard and back onto the driveway but a lot of it is still covered in snow because that's were it got plowed to so it's more packed and melts slower. I'm thinking it will still be there in July! I finally got my flower beds un-buried and my daffodils are now getting ready to bloom! I thought it would never happen!

Snow is pretty, but I could not handle that much of it and for so long. Would depress me I think!

Did you see the pictures I posted? It is beautiful and the really weird thing is...no matter how depressing it was to wake up to another 6" of fresh snow and have to shovel/plow/scrape yet again...every time it would snow I would look out at the trees and buildings all covered in a fresh layer and think "How pretty". Then I'd bundle up and shovel/plow/scrape yet again!! I think it did depress a lot of folks, especially those who are new to these parts. I was born and raised very near here so I know what the weather is capable of!
