I never said the avg income has doubled or tripled... said my income has more than doubled. My numbers have been the same; they are numbers I took from the US census bureaus website:
1998 income was around 41K
2006 income was around 47K (no info for 2007 or 2007 listed)

You said:
1998 income was 48k
2008 income is 48K

It's really simple... go back and read the posts again if you need to bone up on the numbers!
