Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. It'll look even better and handle much better once I do my suspension set-up. I'm going to be doing adjustable Tokico shocks, Steeda Ultralite springs, GT500 strut mounts, LCAs/Brackets, Adj. Panhard Bar, Sway Bars.

I forgot to add that I added a CHE K-Member Brace with Torque Limiters but I don't have a picture of it. It made a big difference in making the driveline stiff. I was having a problem with missed shifts because the transmission was getting a lot of deflection under WOT from these hydro motor-mounts.

I'm pretty much set on no emblem now. I just can't figure out if I want to do a set of side scoops like the ones that come on the GT/CS.

Get the scoops, they are so sexy. If you wanna be a real baller, youd make them functional.

Ive got a 67 Coupe. 289, C4 auto tranny. Got her when i was 14 for 3200. Its either gonna have a 331 stroker or a modern 4.6 supercharged engine in it. Complete total control suspension, rack and pinion, new rear end. Pretty much modern on for the internals with a classic look on the outside. Shelby style front valence and hood school, functioning side scoops with brake ducts, american racing torq thrust d's. Its got a very light, very crappy baby blue paint on it right now. Im gonna repaint it acapulco blue. I know it seems like a lot, but ive got a long time to work on it as I dont plan on ever selling it.

That sounds like a damn nice project. I'll probably buy the scoops when I buy my hood. I've got my eye on the Steeda Street Cowl hood but I think I'll be doing that after the suspension.

When you redo your suspension, leave it just a tad higher in the back. That raked look has and always will look bad *** on a mustang. Mine sits probablly 1/2 inch higher in the back, and it looks 10x meaner because of it.

It's going to sit about 1/4 inch higher in the rear, it looks good. My girlfriend has the same springs on her car. I forgot to add that I've got a fully restored 1965 Mustang 2+2 as well. The motor is shot though.

Good luck stuffing it in the engine bay on a '65. Youd be hard pressed to fit a 351 in there

You beat me to it. Now I'm trying to decide on my next purchase. HCM has Spydershafts on sale for $530 with shipping. Now I can do that or get a lot of my suspension parts. Everything but my sway bars. What do you guys think? I'm really leaning towards the suspension. I'm worried the Sypdershaft might give me a vibration at high speeds.

I'm assuming you're talking about driveshafts. Is the factory piece that bad?

It's pretty bad. It's a two piece unit that does a lot of clunking, weighs a ton etc. Spydershafts are aluminum one pieces. Performance gains are 2/10s of a sec. in the 1/4 mile.

As much as I'd love to have new suspension, getting rid of that POS would do a world of good.
