VMP tune. Unless weather conditions were making up that difference or your friend has a super Mustang from the factory, I really don't think so. Catback exhausts don't make any difference on these cars. Everyone I've seen with these mods have been right around the same place with their numbers, 298-305 rwhp. My buddy has the same mods with full exhaust and cams making 347 rwhp. Figure 30 rwhp for the cams, 15 rwhp for the long tubes and cat delete and you're exactly where I'm at. I will be getting a driveshaft though, once I do my suspension.
Yeah, I know exhaust mods don't do much for the new mustangs, they flow good from the factory.

Thump...id go Old School with the grill emblem....

http://www.pigseye.com/tommy/emblem.jpg

The cobra emblem is sick as well, but im not a fan of people putting badges on their cars for things that they dont have.

Im gonna do the Pony/corral delete on my mustang and put that emblem in the grill, along with some center mount driving lights like what you have. I absolutely love that look.

I've thought about that emblem too. I can't make up my mind, I might just leave it like it is.

Looks good. Is it just me, or do those things sit a little higher in the rear? Or is it just an illusion created by the rear clip? Can you just drop the rear an inch or so to level it out? I wouldn't really go any lower than that for practicality reasons, but that's just me.

It's not an optical illusion, they do sit .5" higher in the rear. I'm going to be lowering it about 1" in the front and 1.25" in the rear soon as I save up money for a full suspension set-up.

I've purchased the "running pony" emblem for my center fog grille, but haven't installed it yet. After mocking it up a few times I can't decide if I like it or not -- the understated look of no emblem kind of grows on you after awhile.

I'd like it best if I could mount the emblem between the fogs, but the grille area there isn't flat, so the emblem doesn't sit down into proper alignment when I mount it there.

What was the starter button install like -- I've thought about adding that mod to my baby.....???

I think I'm leaning towards running no emblem on it.

I bought the kit from latemodelrestoration.com and it was a complete kit with everything you need. The hardest part about the install was getting the button to fit in the radio bezel since you need to open the hole up a little bit bigger. I was worried about opening it up too much so I used a file which took forever. I ended up just using a drill to open it up. It's a very tight fit. Once that was done and all of the interior trim was removed it was a cinch. There are two wires that have to be tapped into the ignition connector and one wire to be grounded. The instructions that come with the kit are very good though and you should have no problem doing it.

Actually, that was one of the things that I thought was really cool about the Mustang! Since I intend to keep both my '05 F-150 and my '08 Mustang forever, I think the identical center pods show kind of a "bloodline" between two very different vehicles from the same manufacturer....

It doesn't look bad, I'll try to get you a photo of it. I was thinking about doing it to be original and when I was at a car show I saw a car with it with that grille. I was like SOB !!

I forgot to ask you earlier, what kind of Mustang do you have?
