To give you an idea, this was ~$300 and took about 3½ hours to do.

The Bat Tat was $320, that includes a $10 after care lotion, and $25 tip. It costs that much cause i sat in the chair from 12:30 til 3:20. took awhile. But in July when I go back home I get free touch-up and another outline to make it perfectly even all the way around.
i say the writing look as it was just welded. the two guys idea sounds more painful and more $$$. my bro does tats in jacksonville area. he has his whole arm covered and his back, etc. i never plan to get one.
ultimatly you can get what ever you want tattooed and as long as your happy with it but out of all the tattoos you could have gotten I just don't understand why you went with batman if your not really a huge fan.

Why did it take 3 hours to do that? The outline should have taken maybe 30 min at the most, then maybe an hour to color it in. You said you get a free touch up and outline to make it perfectly even all the way around, is it not even now? It does look like the wings extend a little more to your left than they do to your right. Is that what you're talking about?

Hence the quotes around the word 'art'. Some tattoos really are works of art, and some aren't. The OP can decide for himself what he's got on his chest since he's the one who has to live with it.

Yes the one wing extends a little more than the other, thats what I'm talking about having touched-up. I dont think thats a cheap tip, it was the actual shop owner who did the work, he gets over 50% of the money anyway!

Meh, I dont know. I brought my buddy in there the day before to get a Firebird on his arm, that pulled right around $200 for him also. Kind of good to show you recommend them them and have a buddy come in with ya. I dont know where the line got cut short, but it should be an easy free fix.
Wow, that is...interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to get the sides of my ribs done down to my abs, or tribal on the shoulder area. I also want a memorial tat for my dad somewhere. I'd like to design my own, but I'm waiting until I see someone with something similar to what I want, so I can get some ideas.
Are there any job opportunities you are giving up getting tattoos on my upper arms?

On the other hand, if you're going to be a iron worker, personal trainer, bouncer, etc, it probably won't matter if you have exposed tattoos.
Either way, once you've got the job, you should be ok. Most people in my office know about my tattoos. Actually most of the divers have tattoos as well.

Edited to add: I'm an engineer / inspection diver
