Bees in my frontyard tree.
Bees in my frontyard tree.
Any suggestions? They did not make a hive. My limited knowledge tells me that they are just passing through, and should go elsewhere. What do I do if they are there tomorrow? This happened when I lived in Austin. They left after a few hours.

Its kinda cool. Solid bees. When it was windy earlier, they swayed with the wind. The mass is about 2 foot long, and about 10 inches wide. The picture is deceiving. At about 3 oclock, it looked like a plague in my front yard.

My neighbor is kind of a doofus. He shot at the swarm with an air soft gun. I told him if he did it again, he would suffer the same fate, but with something larger. What was surprising, is that the bees did nothing
They are actually docile.
