Bees in my frontyard tree.
Update on the bees: Its about noon, and they are still here. I am protecting them. My neighbors are wanting to kill them, but they are not that bright, and seriously uneducated about how vital the bees are to the ecosystem. Don't get me wrong, I love me some killin' and skinnin' as much as the next redneck... But bees are very vital. (I have been doing some reading.) I have a beekeeper coming this afternoon coming to get them. He won't hurt them, but instead relocate them and give them the love they need

The bees are gone now. I guess they found a new home.
From what I read, and the beekeeper confirmed, the original hive got too small. Another queen hatches, and the old queen leaves with half the workers to find another place to hive, and start all over. Google "bee swarm", its actually kind of interesting.

The Honey Bee toils hard for a living and for the benefit of its kind. It does not sit around and complain that life is unfair because it has to work hard. It does not get drunk or stoned while watching Jerry Springer waiting for the welfare check to arrive. It rarely attacks unless it is seriously threatened. Instead it goes about its business as intended by nature and for the greater good of all.
