This was on the radio and TV from San Antonio today. Toyota is cutting production of the Tundra from 725 units per day to 650 units. The ecomony is the reason. No employees are expected to be layed off.

It's nothing to cheer about! I heard that Privately owned Chrysler will be stopping all production for a week sometime in July! The auto industry is a glass house for everybody in this ecomony! Whether it's foreign or Domestic!.....Nobody is safe!......The Economy is in shambles & getting worse.....Oh yes, & you can blame Clinton for NAFTA, & Bush!.......for our sorry state!..........

Chrysler, Ford and GM always stop production for 2 weeks in July. That is not really news. For some reason the media jumped on that but if you read the article on that it does state this.

and if you believe this, and quit spending money and worry about it..... it will come true. We are in a slowdown. The media is making more of it than it actually is. And we belive it.. and make it come true. It is time we stiffle the media..BIG TIME. they have way to much power. This goes beyond freedom of speach. The media is way to powerful for the uninformed masses.

I guess everyone here missed the most important fact in this.

"No employees are expected to be layed off."

Should be, Media loves it's dirty laundry (Ford's Firestone and cruise switch failures), bout time someone else got heat. I say big deal because I thaught they had a 2 week shut down every year anyways, why the big deal since the others do to and have for years.

Hype?
All Hype? Really, Right now even the Canadian's money is worth more than our American Dollar, along with the Euro as well! The value of the Dollar is dwindling with each passing week! One of the main reason a Barrel of Oil costs $110.00 a Barrel is because of our Dwindling Dollar! Not a problem with supply as BUSH wants you to believe! The oil market is measured & based on the American Dollar! When you flood the American Dollar overseas, such as the Trillions & Trillions that we have spent in IRAQ, this action de-values the American Dollar! You can thank BUSH for that! Our Ecomony right now is in a cycle called "Stag-Flation", which means that as the Dollar shrinks in Value, comodities such as Energy are rising! It is not a good place to be period! Look at the price of Gold....$1000.00 an ounce! & rising! That is bad news for the Dollar my friends! Don't even get me going on the housing market!..........

And what were the potential outcomes of this "dirty laundry" that the media dished out about Ford?

Death?

Seems pretty small compared to a company cutting production of a product and yet NOT laying off a single employee....
