Snow Warning Six millon twelve thousand and one

Cattaraugus County
SIGNIFICANT SNOW POSSIBLE FOR ALL OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL NEW
YORK TUESDAY INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY...

.LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS TODAY WILL DEEPEN
AS IT MOVES ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY TONIGHT AND ACROSS SOUTHERN
PENNSYLVANIA OR MARYLAND TUESDAY AND THEN OFF THE NEW ENGLAND COAST
TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL OVERSPREAD
WESTERN NEW YORK BY DAYBREAK TUESDAY AND REACH CENTRAL NEW YORK
TUESDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE AT VARYING RATES THROUGH
THE DAY TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING OFF FROM WEST TO
EAST WEDNESDAY. IT NOW APPEARS THAT THE MORE SOUTHERLY PATH OF THE
STORM SHOULD ALLOW THE PRECIPITATION TO FALL AS ALL SNOW...WITH
ONLY A CHANCE OF SOME SLEET AND RAIN MIXING IN FOR A BRIEF TIME
TUESDAY OVER THE SOUTHERN TIER. POTENTIAL SNOWFALL TOTALS FOR THIS
LONG DURATION EVENT WILL BE IN THE 12 TO 24+ INCH RANGE.

I am sick of snow and cold.

Take it easy BD. Spring will soon be here.
I'll send a six pack and some smokes your way maybe that'll help take the edge off!

I really miss living in a part of the country that gets snow. However, I will admit that by this time of year, I remember being quite tired of it and would sometimes find it hard to imagine that in only another month I'd be starting to think about taking the tarps off my summer toys......

If I could figure out a way to keep it off the driveway area with no work from me, I'd love the snow. A little more won't bother me, but I am ready for warmer weather.

I don't understand the snow warnings... IIRC the only time there should be a snow warning is if we are about to get dumped on. Lately, they been issuing wind watches/warnings and snow watches/warnings like crazy... and there is neither!

We've got one of those NOAA radios with the SAME, that alerts you of warnings and watches... and it goes off everytime we get a watch or warning... it's totally stupid.

What the heck are they doing?! Playing with our minds or something?!

Yea, promises, promises! I really miss the good old fashioned winters we used to have up here. I think I've actually used my 4 wheel drive about 4 times this winter. Maybe we'll get lucky and actually get some snow this time!

We're expecting possibly 6-10 inches here---and,just like you, they said that it wasn't going to be sleet or freezing rain, just snow...hum, I wonder if I will get a snow day tomorrow...
