We're on the same team buddy.
There is a difference in "making things up" and an honest laps of memory with mistake following. Guess you have never made a mistake. Or at least will admit it......only the goats know.....

Well, here is the deal, Chris, you come off, at times, sounding so gawd-amighty aloof. "No, you're wrong and you are a weasly, conniving dumbocrat!" Or, "Stick to the subject and quit muddying the issues, moronic dumbocrats!"

During these debates, I feel, some may have noticed that you are right on all of the time and the rest of us, who may choose to disagree, are loser dumbocrats. We are just pointing out, in a not-so-obvious but oh, so humorous way, that you, too, are capable of making the mistake or three..

You say that we have never made a mistake---your posts indicate you feel that same way about someone oh so close to you...

Sorry, but to misquote Walter Cronkite, "That's the way it was, February 25th, 2008..."

so if I didn't stand up to my thoughts on the subjects and let you crawl all over me.... would that make me more pleasing to you? Look in the mirror.. ya'll sound the same as me... from the other side. And that is the way it is... take it or leave it..

Chris I can understand your frustration.
Been been there, done that and have the t-shirt.

All I can suggest is you stand by your convictions, state your case clearly and allow others to do the same. If we all agreed, election officials wouldn't have anything to do on Nov 8th.

No angry posts from me, I'm as happy as a pig in slop.

Although I'm in favor of ending the war, I feel it's only a small piece of the puzzle. Nobody has even brought up the topic of monetary policy which plays a huge part in the inevitible economic problems about to hit us all. The federal reserve is responsible for more of this country's problems then most of you will ever know. I honestly think that if even a tenth of the population had even the slightest clue about the fed, there would be a revolt.

Now, back on topic... I'll write in Ron Paul, unless of course McCain swells up and pops or somehow doesn't clinch the necessary 1191 delegates for the republican nomination. I would never vote for McCain as I believe him to be the most ignorant candidate running and is destined to be another Bush Jr. He's also as liberal as the 2 democratic frontrunners. I despise socialism therefor I would never vote for Hitlery or Obama either. I believe in taking responsibility for myself and my family which doesn't include being taxed to take care of everyone else. Im sick of paying for insurance and co-pays while illegals and deadbeats (perfectly capable of making a living) are getting free healthcare and living off my dime.

As far as Nader throwing his hat into the ring... I honestly believe the GOP is funding his candidacy because they know McAmnesty has zero shot at winning the general election against either Clinton or Obama. He is only there to split the democratic vote, nothing more. He could give a rats *** about winning the election.

HOW LONG DOES THE USA HAVE?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

' A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'

'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'

'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'

'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'

'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. >From bondage to spiritual faith;

2. >From spiritual faith to great courage;

3. >From courage to liberty;

4. >From liberty to abundance;

5. >From abundance to complacency;

6. >From complacency to apathy;
7. >From apathy to dependence;

8. >From dependence back into bondage'

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:

Number of States won by:
Gore: 19
Bush: 29

Square miles of land won by:
Gore: 580,000
Bush: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by:
Gore: 127 million
Bush: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 resident s in counties won by:
Gore: 13.2
Bush: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country.
Gore's territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population alre a dy having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

ps. Most of us grew up with the saying 'history always repeats itself.' The American people really need to think seriously about WHO they will be voting for.
Wow, it's been a couple of years since I've seen this. I didn't think anyone was still peddling this propaganda piece.

Anyway: http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/tyler.asp

Don't ask me, I'm weak minded.

When Obama hit 51% in the polls, burt went into a convent.

I saw him checking in while I was checking out.
