Ok, there are many but I will just use one to try and make my point about the inconsistencies in the Bible.

From the King James version and the book of Samuel. The story of David and Goliath.

49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

The reason I have chosen those two verses is because one follows the other directly in the book of Samuel. I'm not making a comparison between different authors, passages from the Old versus the New Testament or even something that could possibly be explained away as a translation error from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English.
Verse 50 and 51 are contradictory. Either Goliath was slain with a stone or a sword. David either did or didn't have sword. Which one is it?
Frankly, it doesn't matter.
My point is that if parts of the Bible can be seen to be inaccurate, how can any other passage be proven as correct?
If that part is wrong, is it possible that the creation story of Genesis is wrong too?

Ok, different interpretations of HIS relating to who the sword belonged to. Forget the sword then.

Verse 50 says that he killed him with a stone.
Verse 51 says that he drew somebodies sword and killed him again.

Which one killed him? There's 2 versions and only one can be correct.

About as accurate as anyone saying the red words were actually spoken by Jesus. I've learned to look at everything for myself and not just take it all.

Last I checked, cutting off someone's head and throwing rocks to inflict pain isn't very Christian like... or is it?

Next time somebody make fun of me, I'm not going to just forgive him for his sin, I'm gonna kill that SOB!

He was killed by the stone which came from David's sling, as stated in verse 50. After killing the giant, David used Goliath's own sword to cut off his head. The taking of Goliath's head was not the point of his death, but immediately followed his death. David, "...slew him, and cut off his head..."
