Tickets in your F-150
i hear where your coming from man. pull a stunt once and the coppers are up your a** all the time. i think its a small town thing, Barney and Andy cops. when i was a kid, oh my god, i should have just taken my license and duct taped it to the side of the damn car. got pulled over 11 times in a year, mostly a bunch of crap, "looking suspicious" "obstruction of view" and the best one, im getting my truck ready for paint, i got 14 warnings at one stop, funniest thing ever! then he tried to arrest me because he thought i was lying to him (i didnt have my license that was my bad) couldnt find my name. it was so classic, ohhh how i miss those days. but now its all good. this summer is was going through a school zone, 15 mph when the yellow light is flashing. i'm following a car and being followed, i get pulled over for speeding. driving a silverado (limo tinted windows, straight pipes, super wide tires) all the cop said slow down, i dont wanna see no one hurt and im sure you dont either, slow down speedracer have a good day. see that i mean is reasonable, but some think a badge is a finger of god. i got a ticket for wreckless driving in a state park back in the day. 181 dollars ticket, i went to the DA and he said he'd give me a 50% discount on the fine, No thanks champ. so i go to court and fight it, testify and whatnot. the judge tells me i'm lying, i was so pissed it wasnt even my truck doing the speeding. i had a camo ranger on 31's, pretty noticable. so i cross examine their witness, a park caretaker and she picks the other guys truck. a green toyota and a big camoflague ranger, SERIOUSLY a blind man could tell the difference. but anyway i told the judge WHATEVER really snotty and he wanted to give me comtempt of court and 5 days in jail, needless to say i apologized and paid the ticket and court costs and left.
to serve and protect, the krispy kreme store
some are decent some are not, if you drive a better car/truck than they will ever have, i'd guarntee a ticket. its been proven modified vehicles are more prone to get a ticket.

camping, i got bear sprayed by another camper, not to mention grown man and for absolutely no reason. in canada its completely illegal to use any kind of sprays on a human even if i were waving a gun in the dudes face. i call the RCMP the next day and they show up and have the nerve to kick me off the camp ground. even though i got assaulted with a weapon. this guy is let off scott free and isnt even asked to leave the campground. just because i was 21 im sure. thankful for that? yea right
You and your drunk friend are lucky that you didn't get shot instead.

I did a rolling stop once out in the country at a T intersection. I was driving a pos VW bug that died on me. I was actually coasting downhill and was trying to get to the country store on the other side of the highway. I got there and went in for a six pack. When I came out a Texas Sheriff was parked behind me. I threw the six pack in the car and went to to back to see what was wrong with the engine.
He got out and asked me if I had seen the stop sign. I said "yes but my engine quit and I was trying to make it here. I looked and didn't see anyone in either direction so I went for it but I guess I didn't look good enough because I didn't see you anyplace". He sort of laughed, called my drivers license in to check for warrants and since I was clean he let me off with a warning. I filed and reset my points, started the car and went home.
I've also had a few speeding tickets which I never disputed because I was speeding but I've also been let off with warnings before too when I knew I was guilty. I've always been respectful when stopped and sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn't. I've never once run into a cop that acted like a jerk towards me and I had plenty of experiences with them when I was younger. Maybe Texas, Alberta and BC just have nice cops and all the bad ones work elsewhere?

I didn't come to quite a complete stop at a stop sign on an off ramp this Saturday. Three cars ahead of me rolled through it as well. It was getting dark and I saw headlights coming across the overpass but I had plenty of room to pull out. Unfortunately it was a state trooper and he stopped me. He asked if I knew why I was being pulled over and I knew I wasn't speeding and I didn't think anything of the stop sign because I was a split second away from being at a complete stop at the sign anyway. I have only been stopped 3 times in 12 years...twice for speeding and I am always respectful and don't argue because it doesn't do any good. If anything it gives them more of a reason to give you a ticket rather than a warning. I got a warning and the trooper even made a point to say that he very rarely gives warnings. I thanked him and I was on my way. If the cop is a jerk and you have a legitimate case then take it to court rather than trying to argue it on the side of the road.

I understand and respect that cops have a job to be doing, but they are not all fair and polite. I've been pulled over before and been as polite as possible and not had the favor returned a couple of times before. It just gives people a bad impression of all officers when stuff like that happens. Its best to be polite when pulled over, you've been pulled over and you have to deal with the cop and a possible ticket whether your being kind or rude, so you may aswell be kind.
I am always courteous to officers. Usually, I stress usually, you are being pulled over for something you did wrong. Not sense in being a jerk to somone who busted you breaking the law.
If you did in fact stop completly and still got the ticket, fight that ticket.
In my experiences, being nice has never mattered on the small tickets 5-10mph over, failure to signal, etc, but in the bigger ones, I have always received a smaller ticket than I should have, because of my attitude. I know this because the officers told me.
Everyone who is heated up over this remember, opinions are like farts, eveyrone does it, and just about everyone else's stink. This will never change.
Happy New Year Everyone!

I've been pulled over 3 times while driving, 0 tickets. Didn't even get a ticket in the accident with PSS-Mag. One was for running a "red" light. It was yellow when I went through. It was red when the unmarked sheriff behind me went through it. He just told me to be careful. Second time the highway had just dropped down from 65 to 60. He pulls me over saying he clocked me doing 66 right after it went down from 65.
Third time I got pulled over, I should have gotten my *** hauled to jail. Was headed to Mizzou for the weekend, got suck behind an empty semi truck, a guy towing a 5th wheel TT, and an empty Chevy dually. I get a straight away, and I pass them all in one swoop. I let off the gas and turn cruise back on, and I'm still slowing down from 85+. Small town sheriff pulls me over a few miles later.
Says he didn't clock me, but estimates my speed to be about 60 - 65.
I agree, but am confused cause I thought the speed limit was 60, cause we had just left said small town. Turns out, speed limit was still 40.
He asks for my insurance card. Turns out, it expired 5 days earlier. I'm thinking... aaaaw sheeeet. This is gonna hurt. He comes back, hands me my license and insurance, says I should slow down. Then he starts to shoot the ***** with me, laughing about how he was on the curve right after the straight away talking to his buddy cop, then saw me go flying by and thinking (this is a direct quote) "god damn that boy is going kinda fast." I was polite the entire time, put the keys on the center console, rolled the windows all the way down (cause they are too dark), and made slow movements, telling them what I was doing (my insurance card is in the glove box, etc).
