Yup just like these people brought this lawsuit on themselves
Just because they have a badge doesnt make them perfect
That cop never followed through with her suit. Cop are individuals, some are good and some are bad. But to paint cops in general as bad people is just wrong. Next time someone breaks the law and it effects you. I bet you'll be calling one.
BTW 1981, the 150 is far from a cop magnet lol.

around midnight my best friend, completely wasted wandering around and lost somewhere in the campground. my girlfriend and i hop in the truck to go and find him, then when we did find him in his drunkenness doesnt feel like getting in the truck. i get out to talk to him and this man comes out from his campground and bear sprays me, i saw him coming at the last second. being drunk myself i didnt know what the hell was going on so i stood there at first with wide opened eyes and took it for a couple seconds before i managed to close my eyes but the guy keeps spray i swear he must of emptied the whole thing on me. now im completely blind and down on the ground, my friend blind as well from all the fumes that came off my face. luckily for us my girlfriend was safe from it in the truck, she comes and gets us into the truck and drives us back to our camp site. so about an hour later of soaking my face in a wet rag i can finally open my eyes.my sister who was there as well with her boyfriend comes with me to return to the guys camp site where he came from. we took down vehicles and plates and camp site number. with it being pretty late we decide to sleep it off and deal with it in the morning.
so now its sunday(canada day) were all awake having breakfast when a caretaker of the campground rolls around to do her daily duties. we told her the story and all the info about the campers and she radios into the rcmp. about an hour later an rcmp officer shows up and starts listening to our side of the story. afterwards hes like, "yea well i already spoke to the guy and he said the reason why he sprayed you was because his wife was pregnant and was scared" then he starts rambling on about how hes gotta be at a parade in 5 minutes. he then asks us to pack up and leave. he takes down our info and says he would follow up on it and call us later. then he gets in his car and takes off and that was the end of it.
when he first showed up my dog went over to him to sniff him and he was like, "dont get my boots dirty dog, i have a parade that i need to be at" so obviously his only concern was about his parade.
but i bet you if me the 21 year old bear sprayed the grown man i would of been arrested on the spot. you guys are forgetting a point, i could have a shotgun pointed at guys head and hes still not allowed to spray. in canada its illegal to spray a human unless your a cop yourself. that was assault with a weapon, no matter what the hell i did that was still illegal what the man did to me and he got away scott free with it because of how incompetent the loser rcmp was. more concerned about going to a damn parade then actually doing his ****ing job. that is why the rcmp have such a bad rep right now.

My wife hates it because I can talk myself out of a ticket everytime. She doesn't know how I do it, even I don't know, but she has seen me do it about 5 times in the last 10 years. Heck the one time I couldn't talk myself out of a speeding ticket (on Thanksgiving day 2004) I went to court to fight it and the judge reduced it to failure to obey a traffic sign.
I respect police officers for the job they do, many of us don't want to do it either out of fear or the fact that these men and women deal with idiots and morons on a daily basis and don't get paid near what they're worth. Sure there are some ****** out there in uniform, but that's in every walk of life. They should show you the same respect you show them, but maybe after a long day of dealing with idiots and morons they get tired of people wanting breaks and just want people to take responsibility for their own actions for once. As for me, maybe I'm just lucky and I catch them at the beginning of their shift instead of near the end.
