on a bicycle. Yes, you read that right... I want to get a moving violation ticket. Like running a stop sign, or speeding, or something else. Here's the thing though. I ride about 1000 miles a year... but I've never been able to get a moving violation... I've blasted through stop signs and red lights in front of cops and they don't care.

Why?! Because I want to go in front of a judge and be like, well, I was riding on my Trek Portland and my cruise control got stuck thus making me blow through a stop light.

Why not shoot for a moving violation on your riding mower?

I hear ya brother!!!

If I got one, I'd photocopy the violation and post it all around the city.

one time me and some friends were out ridin bikes around 3 am. my buddies stopped, but i went straight threw the light. that is when the motorcycle cop proceeded to pull me over and explain to my why i shouldnt be out that late, why i shouldnt be riding my bike in the road at 3 am and all kinds of other stuff. never got a ticket, but got a long lecture from a cop. he said he could give me a ticket if he wanted to.

haha... same here same here... me and a buddy of mine used to ride our BMX bikes EVERY WHERE! we used to ride apx. 20-30 miles a day... back b4 we had trucks thats how we would get to the next town... if you think about it it seems like that would take FOR EVER but it didnt take long at all..

i always tried to get a ticket also... i would like blow threw major highway red lights and pass in and out of cones in construction when the workers woulod be chasing me but the cops never did a SINGLE thing... you wana know why... becasue cops are double the driving violations as us... they dont even know that bikes have to follow car rights

Several years ago, I got pulled over on my bicycle for passing cars. Traffic was heavy, and they were doing 25mph, and I just rode past them all. The cop pulled me over and gave me a 10 minute lecture on how he could give me a ticket, but then didn't...

There was a local guy that got nailed this fall for DWI while driving his lawn mower down the middle of the road in the middle of the night. He was weaving all over the place and what was most interesting was that he was going from one town to another and they are located about 14 miles apart.
