I disagree. One, get into traffic and then you can just go by them on the right side of the road. Or go into the plentiful neighborhoods and lose them there
Two, i have taken my road bike onto the dirt/grass before and it handled better than i expected.
third, in my town i normally ride near this park area so i could get to it kinda fast and then once there take a trail that they couldnt follow me on.

But, if you are like downtown or something....then no...they could just call for support and u would be screwed.

Also, i race.....so i am use to pedaling fast for long distances.

Yeah I have too done some Paris-Roubaix riding myself...

Lets do an experiment. You try it and run on your road bike, and lets see if the cops use their fancy radios and other cops with motorcycles, horses, bike patrols etc to figure it out and catch you. Then instead of paying your 200.00 ticket you can pay bail and court costs.

The 5-0 always seem to win for some reason.

Round my hood we obey the traffic laws when riding on the roads...its part of the mutual respect we have to have consider we all pay the same taxes to use the city streets.

dont get me wrong...I almost always obey the traffic laws when i am out riding. Just because i want one to get one cause i think it would be humorous....doesnt mean that i try to get one all the time.

The almost part stands for like running stop signs in neighborhoods or other minor stuff like that. I have...on occasion my a right turn at a redlight, made a quick u turn and then another right turn to get by a redlight when i thought the person behind me (i was first in line) was going to run me over as soon as the light turned green again. Oh and i have "speeded" on occasion.

Heck i have almost turned my bike completely sideways trying to stop at a redlight.
