To get a gun or not?

My aunt feels bad that she couldn't figure out what to get me for my birthday, so she said she'd take me shopping and I could pick something out. When she said this I jokingly said "how about a new gun." She said it was something to think about Now I'm seriously thinking about getting another gun. I have a .22 mossberg, but I haven't used it in months. When I first got it I liked to go shooting at least once a month but its just been collecting dust. Nothing's written in stone, but I need input. I'm also thinking instead to get some nice offshore fishing setup's but a new gun sounds nice too.

What to do?

Get a Ruger 10/22, you'll love shooting again and you can modify the crap out of it. There are more aftermarkets and accessories for it than there are the truck... almost. Then sell your old Mossberg .22 (I didn't even know mossberg made .22's) and use that money to buy fishing gear!

I don't know, several years ago when I was a kid, dad was wanting a .357, mom and he ever loving sense of humor, thought it would be funny to get him a toy pistol. Dad was less than humored when he unwrapped it........
Next day he went and bought himself one.

I've already got a chain saw, and there's no way I'm going anywhere right now with a temp under 60 degrees.

Here's a quick pic I took of it, in nice warm FL. Maybe I'll go for a swim later.

I went and googled it before I posted, I had just never heard or seen one.

It's warm here too, it's 83º in the house right now, I'm probably going to have to open some windows.

I can second that....... but thinking hard about getting the new Remington Model 870 XCS Marine Magnum to beef up the offshore arsenal.

That's a 702 Plinkster from Mossberg International. They are actually made in Brazil by CBC for Mossberg. Good little plinking gun for the price. I have one that I bought for $80 at ****s. I put about 500 rounds through it so far and not one jam or misfire. You have a tough decision to make in a gun or fishing gear. Fishing gear might be easier for your Aunt because there's no 4473 to fill out.
