In MY OPINION he deserves a 2nd chance just like every other professional athlete that has flipped someone off, been in drugs, or in the case promoting and running dog fights. This is all I have been saying all day.

Ya still don't get it---yes, he is paying consequentially with jail time---but there may be other consequences, as well. Beyond jail time, he may have to forfeit his career. Consequences!Look at it this way (please!?) In Ohio, if a public servant (teacher, cop, mayor, etc.) is convicted of a felony, they will do jail time, right? But as they say on TV (even down in Arkansas) "But wait, there's more!" The convicted person loses all retirement $$$ put into a public retirement system. Even though jail time is served, there ARE OTHER CONSEQUENCES. Vick, too may face these. IF the NFL says no to him, well, he should have known better---but those are CONSEQUENCES!

The punishment need not stop with the time served. Get it?

PS---I bet you were an absolute delight in elementary school--and a dream student in high school...

Here is the first stanza from Henley's song---

People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry

What the hell, he's probably got more money than everybody responding to this thread combined and will make in their lifetime. He's performed in front of millions. I probably had 1,000 maximum at my high school football game and none of our games made the local new.

Vick, do your 23 months, buy a house on a tropical island, and get a good pair of sunglasses

Ok, I understand exactly what you are saying, but its just a difference of opinions. I just really think he should get a 2nd chance in the NFL and that punishment should stop with time served. That is all I am saying. You say otherwise and that is fine, its your opinion and this is mine.

PS--I was a delight all through school. Had straight A's and loved to argue then and still love to argue now. In college I got to do a speech over why gays should not marry nor be allowed to adopt, that was fun and went over well , except for one person, which knew I did not support that lifestyle in the 1st place I only gat a B on that speech because of words I used but still got an A in that class. BTW, I am only 20, still in college and High School was not long ago.

If he does get a 2nd chance, he will be under a rather large microscope.

Yeah, like any other guy who's made the BIG mistakes repeatedly, like Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, Rickey Williams, Chris Henry, the list of repeat offenders goes on........

I know what goes on during the training. The dogs fight on their own. The reason they are mean to other dogs is because they isolate the dogs and they arent allowed to associate with other dogs at all. This makes the dogs hate any other similar animal. These dogs that fight are not mean at all towards humans. They are VERY agressive towards other dogs though. Believe what you want I dont care. I know the truth. Torturing of dogs to make them mean is a myth!

Again I am not saying its right but it isnt as bad as the media makes it out to be!
1/4 of my family used to do it in Louisiana, some of them went to prison for it, i have never personally been to a dog fight but from my family, i hear that it is far from ok and they are not the media

it's not a myth man!

some people do torture them, hell my family did

it is not right, the media does exaggerate everything but the main thing is it is a cruel act

and plus i never liked the vicks, their family has been in trouble before
