Shoot, we were neighbors! I grew up in Longview, 60 miles from Shreveport.

I know just where Longview is. I lived in Bossier City for 5 years and Fort Polk/Leesville for another 5. I'm considering moving to the Dallas area if I can find the right job. Not sure yet though.

I live on the southern edge of Fort Worth, work in Grand Prairie.

Back as a teenager, we would go to Bossier City to the clubs. I was 14-16, we would go to the Supper Club and I don't remember the name of the others. It's a wonder we made it back to Longview without killing ourselves.

That's a solid drive in D/FW traffic!

After they built the casinos, the strip clubs got a lot better. It's been almost 13 years now since I left. There's got to be fresh meat by now. lol

It's 25 miles, but takes only 35 to 40 minutes. Half is country roads, then half is Interstate.

I enjoy the Fort Worth area, could not deal with Dallas on a daily basis.

At least when you're stuck in traffic in Dallas, you have something to look at.

Maybe, but you seldom get stuck in Fort Worth! Lot more laid back and easy going, friendlier people and drivers.

I haven't driven that much in Ft. Worth; but, the few times I did, it wasn't bad.

I'll take the test later but I was born in LaGrange and lived within 90 miles of there the first 30 years of my life. If the test says I ain't Texan, then it lies.

You are 52% REAL Texan!!

You're mostly texan. You know your Mexican food, state heritage and are probably slightly politically aware. You can probably pronounce Kukendall, Manchaca and Boerne correctly. Go you.
I'm a Los Angeles dude . . . (now a Kansas dude).

I've connected thru DFW numerous times, connected through Houston a couple of times, and driven through the panhandle a couple of times, the last being while moving to Kansas. (On this last trip I stopped in Amarillo overnight and had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel there).

And somehow I'm 52% REAL Texan. (Must have been the Cracker Barrel that did it).

I have my doubts about that test.
