Steering wheel falls OFF!!!!

So anyone dealt with this before? The steering wheel has a ton of play side to side and up and down. i am talking truck off, and just in the steering wheel itself. is this in the column, or the steering wheel nut need tightenend? it feels like the wheel and column is going to fall in my lap. This happened while i was trailing for a new hunting spot. i think it may have to do something with jumping in and out of the truck with my hand on the wheel, and weight on the wheel when hitting hard bumps. Please let me know guys. Chris

so the guy gives you some advise that could possibly save your live and you insult him? he was just getting the point across that if something feels wierd or not normal about your truck GET IT FIXED before something happens, even though he didnt have a solution he was just trying to tell you to get it fixed first

Advise....the guy didn't even have enough common sense to not drive his own vehicle. What kind of good advise could he possibly have to offer. instead he only pointed out his own stupidity.

point understood.

And, I didnt drive my truck after that day. I put a used column in it. The column was bad internally at the tilt U-joint.

um, I wasn't the guy that drove with one lugnut. I just pointed you to the post so you wouldn't do something stupid like he did.
After reading your posts I can see it was a wasted effort.

heh, I didn't call you stupid. It's just what you did was stupid. There's a difference....really.
I do stupid stuff too. Funny thing is it sometimes seems like such a good idea at the time.
