That's weird a bunch of my friends swear by them, and we always take our guns apart after playing for cleaning purposes, never have had any problems. I personally have used the gun before and there fast, and cheap. I think they retail at about $300 don't they?

As for the epiphany, I wouldn't know, I don't have experience with it, so I couldn't tell ya.

Swank, I believe I've seen your team, were you there at the PPL in Monterrey? We took 4th that year, I'd say this was about 4 yrs ago.

Proto is a safe bet as well, basically a DM on a less expensive platform.

Hell, I remember when a case of paint was 100 bux!!
Our team started out with SplatAttack Revenges (best auto****er out there)

Yeah, we played NPPL, XPSL, 5-MAN, 7-MAN, 10-MAN When it was alive.
XPSL is where you'll find the big guns at now.

Not alot, they are new on the market.
Some guns are coming out are not upgradable.

If you want something with ease of maintenance definatley go with the DM, or Proto series.
Timmys are just as fast, but are like a high maintanence girl. (picky)

The new "MINI" seems to be a great mid range strap.
Efficiancy is where it is at, most markers are air hogs, My teams DM's could get close to a case of paint (2000 rounds in a 7 minute game) out off a 65\4500 bottle.
Dependability is very important as well, if you have played before you know how frustrating it is when you chop in the middle of a game!!

As far as purchasing goes, find someone with great feedback (plenty of good people on the nation) who deals\sells straps. Often you can find better deals there than online retail stores. Just take your time and look around it's getting to be winter time so people will be getting rid of their old stuff for the latest and greatest. It's a buyers market during the off season.

ThumperMX113,

Hit me up w/ a PM or email. I have a complete setup I've been debating about selling. I got married two years ago and haven't gotten out to play much .

I've got a gun (Strange ION), 68/4500 tank, jerseys & pants, tubes, cases of paint, extra o-rings, gearbag and tons of extras.

If you're interested, LMK and I'll take pics of everything.

I was just thinking the other day that I haven't broken out my gun in a long time. You know with this FL weather it can be brutal to play in the summer. I've only got the Tippman 98 Custom but it does the trick. I like to play the wood's ball more than the blow up course's though.

Captain's right though, those little kids with frikin expensive guns will mow you down most of the time.

I sold my LED Angel (OLD school Angel) and most of my gear (kept my mask, other small stuff) a few years ago to buy my Canon Dig Rebel and IS zoom lens. I miss playing. Had barrels from 6" (custom cut) to an 18" rifled. Loved wooded fields vs the speedball fields. Not a big fan of spray n pray... Best our little 3 man team did was 4th in a local tourney one year. I had one "gun battle" with a team mate in a scrimmage.... on a speedball field, just me n him were left, I think we went though 300-400 rounds, I know we were both hit, when we both ran out of rounds, just kinda stoop up and laughed at each other, the spray was nuts, we looked like we were in a graffiti fight. Good times

I'd just go to your local paintball shop, and just try them out in person. You can see which one's feel the best and see them first hand. Then go buy it online.
