It ends in the end of December, so quite awhile.

It's a cheap victory for everyone involved if you've got folks stuffing the ballot box, IMO.

It's nice to see where some people's morals and integrity lie. God forbid, don't let the quality of the workmanship determine who wins and loses, instead let's get people to vote for something just because a forum member built it - not saying your doghouse isn't nice, Duke, it really is.

The other doghouses ain't so bad either though. I wanna vote honestly, which means that I haven't voted. I can't determine which one is put together best by the one picture they provided. There's no close up pictures, no specific details of what and who, I wanna see how well joints fit together, what the paint looks like, are the screws and nails driven flush and true...fit and finish are very important to me, in everything from cars to guns to woodwork. And in doghouses of this caliber, I think fit and finish are vital to casting an accurate, truthful vote.

I'll crawl back under my rock now.

Q is right and wrong IMO.

If the vote was going to be honest then rigging it would be wrong. However, Internet voting is almost always about getting the most repeat voters. That is why they want you to keep voting every day.

The integrity of the vote isn't important. The site owners want traffic, hits and in turn give something back to their users with little contests. The contest was reset because of a method of generating such huge vote numbers that the other people would just quit and thus their website unique hits actually drop. Not good for the site.

It really should be considered a contest rather than a vote to see who gets the highest number.
