It's quite amazing what they can do these days. They basically vertically laid his neck open like a bananna split, vertically sliced his carotid and cleaned out the plaque blockage, and sewed him up. He'll have a scar, but we'll have him, a fine trade off.

We're all exhausted.
Glad to hear everything went well. He'll remain in my prayers.

I'm glad the surgery went well. More prayers sent for his recovery and good health in the future!

Hey man, glad all went well. When I got to the hospital, there was black truck in my parking spot, so I parked next to it. Yeah, it is amazing what they can do now. Again, glad he is doing well.

LOL Yeah, I almost plowed those bushes with my back bumper.

He's finally sleeping today. He got nauseated, so they gave him a shot in his IV and now he's finally getting some sleep. He'll really get some rest after he gets home.

Probably got nauseated form the drugs or nerves. I am sure he was nervous as hell as well, I would be.

Well good deal he is fine and resting. I hope we did some good for yall but then again, you describe your ole man is so crockety that he wasn't going to get sick like that without some bitching. No one wanted to hear it

Yeah, he was bitching long before he got sick. I'm sure the nurses obliged him with the nausea medication with a smile on their faces.

Dad just got moved to a regular hospital room, no more ICU. Hopefully he'll be home soon, my parents only live a block away so we can be over there to help so mom can catch some sleep. She really needs to sleep. This has been pretty hard on her. We've been there for them and have tried to get her to sleep, but it's like an hour here, 30 minutes there and that's all she can do. I think she somehow acquired some of my dad's stubbornness.

My dad's being released from the Hospital this afternoon. Now when they finish the paperwork mom and dad will be on their way. Thank God this chapter is finished.

And my son went back to school today. I believe things are getting back to normal around here, finally.

Thanks to everyone for your prayers!
