I wanna THANK all of our military personel for what they are going through and what they went through, my brother just got his orders for his third tour over there and im sick about it but i have nothing but the utmost respect for him and all military people keeping our motherland safe and protected, regardless of what the media portrays it to be! i can still walk around here without looking over my shoulder thanks to the men and women who have the courage to stand tall and fight for what is right......even if its wrong in someones eyes.
Again thank you all and GOD BLESS AMERICA and of course RED,WHITE and BLUE these colors don't run

Idk man, I think that's going a little too far. I know quite a few people that I really don't like, mostly for very good reasons, that are serving right now. These are people that I really couldn't care less about. The fact is that they are still risking their lives for us, and we are still sitting here saying whatever we want because of them. Same goes for police officers. Even the most corrupt, no-good LEOs still put their lives on the line to help us when we're in trouble. No matter how much I dislike somebody, I still respect them for protecting others when even we are not willing to protect ourselves.

I'm not saying that all of them are bad, but a hand full of bad apples don't deserve the respect that I'd give to a homeless guy being annoying on the sidewalk.

This is why:

while this IS true, and i'm not taking up for their actions, but dude, it's soo STRESSED over there.

it's bad when you roll around HOPING something happens just to break the tension. You're right though, there are people that roll around outside the gate that doesn't need to.

also look at it like this. 90% of the time over there, you have a certain sector to patrol and do it for usually about 4 months then you rotate out (at least we did) In that time, you learn where EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is in that area. these people are on a 4th grade level. You've never met someone so simple minded. these people would rather lie to you than breath. we rolled through one village(just like we do EVERY day), stopped and talked to some shopkeepers, and went to leave out of the village when we got hit on the road out. we look behind us and the guy is bent over double laughing.

you see him laughing. you look down in your lap at your buddy that holding trying to get the blood to stop.

it changes you.

It happens here too......

It was much easier to "flash bang" people walking down the road or in parking lots back in the day when we had carburators........
Gear heads know what I'm talking about..... I use to do it ALLLL the time, still would now with an old carburated engine that I didn't care about.......

I can remember in highschool making a bunch of Jr High (7th-8th graders) chase us down a side street several blocks for a bottle of beer......... finally gave it to them for thier efforts, to bad for them that we had already drank it!

As funny as that was/is now..... I don't blame the soldiers, besides them being about the same age I was then, even for grown **** men in that situation, it's basic phsycology. Your going to do anything and everything you can to break the tension of being in mortal danger 24/7.... that breath you just took... yea that one, the one that you didnt give a second thought about becasue you knew another one was coming....... they don't get the luxary to have that kind of security. That breath could have been thier last, the next one might be thier last........ We can say that too, but our odds are 1000's of times smaller than thiers........

I agree.

Crazed, it's because of people who think that way that we have a military that could absolutely kick the crap out of anyone, anywhere, anytime, but are not allowed to do their jobs. War isn't pretty, and innocent people are harmed, that's a fact. But you don't win a war by trying to please people. As a matter of fact, that sounds like a great way to lose one.
