normally paypal and ebay side with the bidder. if there's a tracking number that shows that the buyer never received the item, then usually it's first put into a paypal claim where ya'll try and resolve the issue, and then paypal can just step in and refund the money.

for the seller, it's a risk.....
but in the same case, it also helps you because it makes the buyer more spendy knowing that in case something happens paypal will take his back.

File a non-paying ebay bidder claim. I believe you will not be responsible for the listing/auction fees.

I have had 2 jerks just recently trying to buy a GPS.

1 said she sent it to NY and promised a refund. It never came. I have to file with paypal and 10 days later it comes through via PayPal, not the seller. The she leaves me neg feedback stating she sent a refund and that I 'claimed' it never came as if I was lying on receiving it.

2nd sent a GPS that had a battery problem but I could fix that. He claimed it could be updated so that meant map codes are available. I receive it, no maps on the SD card and no codes. I email him, never a response after 1 week. I made my paypal claim and won after he never responded.

I buy ALL my items via Credit Card so if this happens and PayPal refuses to refund, I dispute it with my CC vs having to yank with PayPal. I do give them the chance though to pull it straight.

personally though, at 600 feedback a month, 4 negatives isn't bad. you aren't going to please EVERY person (talking about my work act.

i agree

Not just to be contrary to you, but that is how I do it and it is how I expect my buyers to do it. I sell about 15 items a week on eBay, and if they do not pay within 3 days I send an invoice via eBay, if they do not pay within 2 weeks I send them a message giving them 48 hours before I leave negative feedback. Communication is one of the most important things on eBay.

Ok here is one for you high number ebayers. When i buy something on E-bay I will pay for it straight away. Why is it that they will not leave feedback untill I give it to them.I pay for it straight away so that should be good feedback correct. When I sell something and get the payment quick I note positive feedback straight away. And I hope that the customer will do the same once they receive the package.

I don't have a problem with that.

I just don't understand how they were able to get the transaction to show up in my PayPal account but it's not showing up as in my balance.. Ebay said they've never seen one this bad either.. That makes me real confident in Ebay!

My eBay account was compromised recently. I had to go through a big ordeal to get back into my account because they suspended it for security reasons. Apparently, somebody else had gained control of my account.

About a week before that happened, I was getting messages from some seller asking me to call him so we could close the transaction. I hadn't bought anything for some time and didn't have any outstanding transactions. I replied and asked him why he kept sending me that message. He replied stating somebody had gotten ahold of his account as well, and that he was sorry.
