"Illegal in baseball" is not the same as "Illegal unless prescribed by a doctor to treat a medical condition."
It's sort of a federal law / DEA thang.
Yes, MLB and specifically Bud Selig dropped the ball or looked the other way for years. Still doesn't make it right rub on the "cream", swallow the "clear", as Bonds admits.

That's why Bonds' trainer did time, not because MLB banned anything, but for ILLEGALY providing perscription drugs / unapproved / banned drugs.
