Not sure if this is entirely true but I have heard that if you are coming up to a cop that has his lights on and you shift into N right before you pass him and back into drive as you pass him the lights will turn off. I am nervous about trying it as I don't want to damage my truck by shifting into D while im moving. Has anyone else heard of this or done it?
That's pretty funny!

Actually, it only works if you have an electronically controlled transmission. The PCM sends a signal to the transmission each time you shift. When you shift into N while passing a Police Car, it overloads the Crown Vics PCM and caused the vehicle to momentarily shut down, thus the overhead lights going off. It's pretty rare, but it could happen, and you have to be pretty close to the other vehicle.

Excuse me while I continue my search of Area 51 on Google Earth.

No joke.....
When I worked at the newspaper office our local PD had just got tasers and we were doing a story on them. "Why becasue this is a small town and this is front page material for here" LOL
Anyway, the reporter on the assignment volunteered to be tasered...... OMG we got some great pics and published them. That made for a great story just the pic alone was priceless, the look on his face as every muscle in his boddy tensed up and constricted. He was sore ALLL over for 2 days, he couldn't have sex for a week afterwards!
Now thats cruel and unusual punishment!!! If it things get crazy and it comes to that..... just shoot me in the leg with some lead please!!!!

I am going to have to be bold here and say... How in the hell did you get so stupid?

I forgot, it's the first of the month, all of the nuts have come out to play.

Well now it did use to work on teh older carburated vehicles.... but you had to leave it in gear, shut teh key off, mash the gas and turn the key back on just as you got next to the cop.

I'm calling this thread a hoax, and bet the OP is someone that was once banned.. Both subjects in his question are recent debates in other threads.

Yes it works, and it works well. There's just one small trick. You have to roll down the window and give the cop the finger with one hand while chugging a beer with the other hand while doing it. It's tricky, but with practice, can be mastered.

Dude, I blew off one of my glasspacks doing that on my 66 Ford Pickup with dual exhaust.
