Yeah, I think those got me through basic as far as being bored out of my mind on ruck marches and runs.

Another one I liked was...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41xn5...om=PL&index=50

"Oh oh oh ohhh -- Ain't no use in looking down -- Ain't no discharge on the ground -- Oh oh oh ohhh -- Ain't no use in looking back -- Jodie's got your Cadillac -- Oh oh oh ohhh -- I used to date a beauty -- Now I love my M16 -- Oh oh oh ohhh -- I used to drive a Chevrolet -- Now I'm huffin' all the way -- Misery Misery -- Army life is killing me - Misery oh misery -- Army life is killing me"
We had this Black DI in AIT - Guy had such a great voice.. When he sung this it would cheer me up.

My AIT was 23 weeks at Fort Gordon. I remember the biggest laugh we had was me and my room mates would run to the AF chow hall because they had nice benches and choice of food and you could go back for more. We'd have to break off a marching formation and hope it got closed in by our pals before DI's caught us. AIT was a blast. Still keep in contact with more guys from that period of the Army than any other time.

Served 3/1 AD and 2/1 ID.. Hooah to the BRO (Big Red One)

Four years active and just shy of four years in the Michigan National Guard. During my active duty I was stationed at the following...Ft. Devons, Mass., Ft.
Gordon, GA., Camp Carroll, South Korea, Ft. Campbell, KY. Did my basic at Ft. Jackson, SC. National Guard post was in Flint, MI and any time off post was spent up at Camp Grayling in Grayling, MI. Don't regret one day of my service, but when my active duty time was up...almost re-upped but just made the decision to get out. If I'd have stayed in, I'd probably would have been a lifer though. Still makes me think right now...if I'd have stayed in, I'd be within four years of getting a retirement from good ole' Uncle Sam.

Charlie 4 2nd cycle 1978 Fort Sill OK. We learned to dig hole in rocks with that little toy shovel(I don't remember the tool number.) Now if Drill Sergent wanted a hike, we just went our to the Punch Bowl.

im in 1st Armor Division. infantry! and lots of service members are liberal. crazy huh? never expected it when joining. but you have to understand, the majority of liberals are middle to lower class, they have few options. not bashing them in any way. just a simple truth. dont take that wrong. anyway, i want a new truck, i have a 150k on my 2000 4x4 4.6. great truck, runs excellent! just weak and ready to upgrade. are the '09 really all they are said to be? im looking more in the '06 price range. need a 4wd and prefer crew cab.

Bet you're still eating on that cheese huh Raoul? You gotta turn the lights off when you eat that stuff though, kinda nasty. I once worked on the same property with a guy (wasn't really all there) that could eat the tires off a Buick, rims and all. He would eat anything you would give him. He wasn't fat, but man could he eat. Someone gave him one of those 5 lbs block of Govt. cheese and he at that whole thing in half a day. I doubt that he went until he found some dynamite though!

People complain about the economy but they don't really know hard times.
It was during the Free Government Cheese riots, that I lost an eye.
I came out of it with two five pounders.
Would I do it different today? Yes.
I'd drop one block and beat that old woman off me.

Hey, that looks just like that guy I just told you about. Haven't seen any Buick's lately up on blocks have you? That old woman didn't look suspiciously like your wife did she? C'mon Raoul, don't be so stingy, share a little with her.
