Not very drunk at all. As I said before, I really didn't mean to throw him in the fire. I just grabbed him and threw him off my friend. He had his back to the fire, so when I threw him, that's where he landed. Trust me when I say that I would never throw somebody into a fire pit on purpose.

When I said that, I didn't mean I was going to go looking for them. I believe that I said If they came to my house and I call the police, but things escalated to the point that I felt threatened, I wouldn't hesitate to do whatever was neccessary to get them away from me. I don't want to kill somebody, no matter how much they want to hurt me. If all I had to do was walk outside with a baseball bat to make them leave, then trust me I would do that first.

Really, because I thought I screwed up when I threw a kid in a fire. I don't care if everybody knew we were drinking underage. I guess I just don't see what difference it makes. The situation is still the same. I see mentions of illegal things on this website, and others, all the time. If for some reason it comes down to it, and I have to talk to the cops, I'll be the first to tell them everybody, including myself, was drinking.

In other news, I'm now sober and able to think more clearly. I really think that if they were going to do anything, they probably would have done it last night. Now I'm just worried that if they don't know it was me, they'll take it out on one of my friends.. I guess I'll just stay away from the bonfires for a while and in my guess it will all blow over in a couple weeks.

Get yourself a nice taser. You can defend yourself without causing permanent damage and you will get your point across pretty quickly.

Sounds like you need to do a better job of picking friends.

I guess "friends" was too strong a word. None of them know where I live, and they don't have my phone number, so I guess we don't really qualify as friends. "Acquaintances" would be a better description. The fact is that although they are pretty cool to hang out with, they're not really nice people. I just try to stay on their good side, and they'll help me out if I need it. I think I kinda screwed that one up lol. My real friends are nothing like them.

What is it that you guys don't understand? I didn't pick him up, carry him to the fire and drop him in... He was beating the **** out of my unconscious friend. I simply grabbed him from behind, my arm under his armpit and up across his neck, and I threw him off. If he weren't 100% trashed, he may have been able to keep his balance. Instead he fell directly into the fire, on his back, with no shirt on. I really do feel bad that I did that, but there's no doubt in my mind that if I had waited another 3 seconds to do something, I would have had to take my friend to the ER.

A bunch of kids and alcohol do not mix well together. EVeryone there made the mistake of not pulling this kid off of the fire immediately, whether he started this situation or not.

You never drank underage?

Alcohols not for everyone...

Anyways, i believe this is another case of, the too personal for an internet forum post but thinks a bunch of truck drivers will make his decisions when really half of them will tear apart what he says and ridicule him for things instead of doing the thinking which is really his job not ours thread.

Whoa, wait just a minute....

You would never throw someone on a bonfire on purpose, you regret doing that, yet you were/are planing on shooting them?

Dude throwing someone on a bonfire is like shaking thier hand compared shooting someone.

At this point, since you posted it then if you have to shoot them it would be called premediated murder. Not self defense. Your going in with intentions to shoot them and not taking every route to avoid it.

Put the guns away, take it out of your truck, lock it safely away.
I carry too, I hope to god I never have to use it. Not becasue I'm worried about using it. Because if I do, that means I feel I am going to die anyway and I hope my life is never in that danger. If it is I will take them with me or if I'm lucky just send them to the other side. They will never see it, if anyone happens to see my gun in my hand, that means they are dead before they have to time to react. Ideally try to keep it hid, they won't even see it.

Rules to stay alive
1. Never pull a weapon that you dont want used on yourself. this includes Bats, pipes, sand hose, pool ball in a tube sock, knife, gun, etc etc.
2. Never pull a weapon that you are not using as you pull it. Never ever threaten to use something. If you pull a knife stick it in thier throat as you pull it out. If you have a bat or pipe try to keep it hid until you reach them, also sprint for them, dont walk, then swing as you pull it.
If you show a weapon, be scared enough to use it.

I never asked anybody to make a decision for me. I never asked anybody to think for me. All I wanted was different points of view. I'm not just gonna go do what some random person on here thinks I should do. I am capable of thinking for myself. The problem is that I am only one person, who really only sees things one way. By posting this thread, I hoped that maybe somebody would see it from a completely different perspective that would be better for me (and everybody else). If people want to ridicule me, then so be it. I probably deserve it. But if you feel this thread is too personal, don't read it anymore.

Once again, I never said that I'm just going to shoot them whenever I see them. What I said was that if they were to gang up on me, and (after calling the police) I felt like there was no safe way out of the situation for me, and pulling a gun was what I had to do, then I would do it.

And yes, I do feel bad for throwing the kid in a fire. Although I do feel he was completely in the wrong, I don't think he deserved what I did to him. All I meant to do was break up the fight. If he comes looking for me, then fine, I'll fight him. But I know for a fact that he would not be alone. And I would feel bad afterwards if I had to shoot somebody. I know I could possibly go to jail for a long time. But as somebody stated before, I would rather be in jail than dead. One more thing, I still live with my parents. I have 4 younger sisters living with me, 3 of them being under 10 years old. I will not tolerate people coming to my house to start **** with me. If you're going to do something to me, do it elsewhere. In my mind, anybody who comes on to my property to harm me, is also planning to harm my family. Catch up to me at work or anywhere else, but not near my sisters.

As of now, though, I'm not really worried about it anymore. Last night when I posted this thread I was mildly intoxicated and coming down from an adreneline rush. My best friend was sitting in my living room with blood pouring from his face and his girlfriend was still crying. I was a little stressed. I have returned to (at least somewhat) rational thinking mode. I really want to stress that I am not the type who goes looking for trouble, and I usually do everything in my power to avoid it.

I really appreciate the advice, and hopefully this is where the story ends.

I know there will still be problems in the future betwen all of us, so I'll probably just find a new place to hang out. I was getting tired of going out there anyway. Lots of good looking girls, but it seems like I keep getting older and they all stay 16.

You'll find that problem increases everywhere and grows worse for the rest of your life.
