I just picked up a 97' reg cab, short bed 4x4 lariat. I love the truck! Did not realize how rare they were.

What f-150s came with a storage compartment behind the front seat?Mine has the changer, but no where to store jumpercalbes or a reciever...

The rear storage bin was standard on the Lariat in 1999.
In 1998 it was a $77 option, I guess the same was true in 1997.

It runs the full length of the cab, not much taller than the CD changer.
The floorboard 'hump' divides into two sections.
The passengerside is pretty much used up by the cd changer but, I do keep my draw bar over there.

The drivers side has a tray. Jumper cables fit plus other out-of-sight items.

Thanks for the detailed info...nice to have someone who knows what they are talking about!

Well, ive been looking around for one of thoes bins, but i just ordered the MTX thunderform sub enclosure for the truck....so ditch the bin idea!

Mi reciever fits under the driver seat and the pin and 7-4 wiring adapter fits in the door.....now to find a place for jumper cables!
