Fixed the threads on the crank, but the nut is beyond repair. The stator was replaced once before and it looks like whoever did it just used an impact gun . The nut is warped and the threads are chewed to ****.

Had to order another nut, $18 for one ****in nut that will be here Friday.

I bet this dude would be more than happy to pay only $18 to replace a nut.

Right now I'd gladly pay $18 for a nut and run a die down the crank if thats all I had to do to it......

I am literally getting sick over this.

Well couldnt find a die big enough so I went at it with a fine file and chisel. Probably not the "right" way of doing it but it worked great.

Tonight gotta get the wiring done, last time out as soon as the trailer was submerged the signals/brake/hazard lights stopped workin on my truck and the trailer. And gotta get the boat lights rewired, whoever had this thing before did a real hack job on all the wiring

Little update... Cut the front end of the trailer off today and got it welded back up with new 1/4" steel. It's not going anywhere. Its sitting in the shop right now cooling off, then I'll pull the wires back through tomorrow after work.

Yea I know all about wiring woes, when I first bought mine it was hacked up bad too. I don't know how many times I have found hots connected to ground and grounds to hot. Not to mention the 3 or 4 pieces spliced together to make a 6' wire.

I spent most of the first summer chasing wires and buying as close to factory colors as I could so the schematic sorta made sense.
