Recommend me a book
The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey... sooooo funny, so right, it's credited with starting eco-terrorism.. lol..
It's a really good read, you'll laugh out loud at some parts, think a lot about others.
Almost the perfect book, IMO.
It was published over 30 years ago, may not find it in bookstores but I just ordered a new copy from Amazon a month ago.
Hayduke Lives!!

The movie was good but the book is excellent.

K, I just bought two. Both were suggested here so if they suck......Its ya'lls fault. LOL
I got Debt of Honor by Clancy (Jack Ryan Novel) and The Lieutenants by WEB Griffin.
I wanted Rainbow 6 by Clancy but its like 3 books behind debt of honor and I've seen the movies up to this book. Didnt wanna go skippin around too much.
Thanks for the tips.
BTW I'll recommend the I Am Legend book again. The story is really good.

Another vote here for W.E.B. Griffin. His "The Corps" series is this old jarhead's favorite; read each of them 3 times.
Bradley ought to be sent to France for his inaccuracies and mistruths in either of those books. The way he spun them, and tried to make America the guilty party for all the "atrocities" on the Japanese people. I'm not saying we're virgins, but there's no way in hell anyone with an ounce of true military history knowledge won't see that he's full of crap.

Flags of our Fathers, or Flyboys---both are excellent books by the same author---James Bradley.

I read constantly. The last book I finished was The Last Templar by....Raymond Khoury. It's like the Da Vinci Code (which I skipped...I saw the movie and that was good enough for me) but a much more interesting topic in my point of view. Stephen King is always greatness...I've just started Cell but I haven't gotten that far into it. The Dark Tower series by King is absolutely phenomenal, if you read it all the way through. The Stand is also very satisfying. Insomnia...not so much. I kind of lost interest at the end. King's short stories are the more morbid and creepier of his work if you're more into that.
Catch-22 is my favorite book; it's really really insane and wonderful. A very good read.
I'd like to read Consumed: How Markets Corrupt Children, Infantilize Adults, and Swallow Citizens Whole but Borders didn't have it in stock the last time I stopped by. It seems like it'll be interesting. Freakonomics is supposed to be really good too.
