Recommend me a book

So, lately I've had the urge to read. Why on earth i have no idea but hey why fight the urge. The last book I read was I Am Legend. Good book, a little short though. Before that was Inside delta force, what the TV show "the Unit" is based on. Another good book. Now I wanna read something else but i dont wanna waste my time on something that sucks.

So I come to you, the intelligent F150 crowd. With the Wit and sarcasm that abounds on this forum I'm sure that you wont let me down.

What book do I read next?

Flags of our Fathers, or Flyboys---both are excellent books by the same author---James Bradley. Flyboys deals with a failed attack on Chichi Jima---a famous picture came out of this---George Bush Senior being rescued. Flags of Our Fathers is about the lives of the men after they raised the flag on Iwo Jima.

Both are awesome books and very enlightening.

Tim C.

PS--they were assigned reading for one of my English III (H) classes.

I like W.E.B. Griffin's presidential series, If your looking for a long read, the Stand by Stephen King or Rainbow 6 by Tom Clancy, i've read a lot of their books and liked em. A prayer for Owen Meany is a good one by John Irving.

happy reading

W.E.B. Griffin's Brotherhood and the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan ones are fun as well. Also, Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson, any Hunter S. Thompson, Taiko by Eiji Yoshikawa, and Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain are winners as well.

Anything written by Michael Crichton...

Jurassic Park, The Andromeda Strain, Congo, Sphere, State of Fear, and Prey are a few of them.

Clancy's Jack Ryan novels are great, too.

John Daly " My life in and out of the rough"

Even if you aren't in to golf it is a great human interest story.
