that is pretty dominating.

Hendrick - 6
Gibbs - 3
Rousch - 2
Yates - 1
I know, I meant that they have dominated this season more than the previous years.Hence 10 wins in 14 races.

She did it because she is a biotch. I personally feel that she had no intentions in negotiating a new contract with jr. all along and was just giving him lip service.

I, personally, believe that Teresa had in mind, from day one of ownership of DEI, getting rid of Dale Jr. Why? Because she knew at some point he'd want ownership of the company HIS father built. So, at the first chance of not renewing a contract, she's made her true intentions known. I can't believe that Teresa and those around her are doing Dale Sr.'s kids this way. How he couldn't see her materialistic nature while they were married is beyond me. I, for one, am hoping that DEI goes into the ground, and that all of the teams competing under it's flag find no success on the track.

He'll have to buy the #8 from DEI first.

Unless NASCAR makes her give it up. The owners don't truly own the #'s. They are leased from NASCAR. NASCAR has the final & ultimate say as to who gets what #.

Interesting issue about the NASCAR # "leasing". I think that NASCAR CEO Mike Helton dislikes Teresa just enough that he might make her trade numbers with Hendrick. Then again, as someone mentioned earlier, the #5 and #25 go way back for HMS. That said, if Jr. gets to keep the #8, think of all the rednecks that can rest easier about their tattoos now!

Great quote from Little E

"To climb into that red Budweiser car each weekend has always been a privilege," Earnhardt said in the release. "Although Budweiser and I will be unable to continue our partnership beyond this season, I remain committed to driving for Bud the rest of this year, and will continue to make it my beer of choice."

yeah he is a class act.

looks like mountain dew/pepsi will be his sponsor next year. i cant wait for him to start winning again.

it looks like my theory about TEI sandbagging the number 8 team is partly coming true. its been pretty obvious that the 1 team has been getting the better equipment the past few weeks. although both did crappy at chicago.

I was wondering if anyone remember the commercial a year ago that was JR pretending to have a news conference about changing his number from 8 to 08.

It showed people getting upset who were currently having the number 8 tattooed into their arm, shaved into their head and shrubs cut down that have been trimmed to look like the # 8.

I was hoping they'd start playing it again as a joke, but I don't think anyone would laugh now.
