Earnhardt to hendrick?
I'm glad he's moving to HMS. We'll finally see if it was "bad equipment" or just "lack of skill" as the reason why Jr. could never win a title at DEI. I'm thinking it's more of the former. That said, HMS equipment will easily be able to cover up the minute amount of skill lacked by Jr. This should be a happy day for Jr. fans!

i think this is good for jr. when DEI was good a few years ago he won races and even finished third in the points one year. when DEI started to fall off and not keep up with its competitors, he didnt win hardly at all. putting him in good equipment again will put him in victory lane again. i cant wait.
i dont get why people bash jr and think he has no talent. 2 busch championships and 17 cup series wins. only gordon, johnson, stewart and burton have more wins among active full time drivers. its all in the stats. they dont lie.....give the kid a break

I honestly didn't see this coming. For a guy who keeps saying that he wants to compete for championships right away, this seems like a risky move. At Hendrick, he's going to be the 3rd rooster in the championship-chasing henhouse. I really thought he'd go with Childress, who has improved their equipment CONSIDERABLY over the last few years. I saw Gibbs as a 2nd choice behind RCR, but it would have been another scenario where he'd be a 3rd rooster in the henhouse. It's looking like Jr. had his mind made up ever since he drove Kyle Busch's car earlier in the year. At a minimum, he'll at least have the quality of cars he was looking for to be able to compete. How he gets along with Gordon and Johnson as his teammates will remain to be seen.....on another note, Hendrick has to be ecstatic to have landed him, and the history with Budweiser/Hendrick will have a chance to carry on.

Lemme guess, you are one of those people that call Gordon a whiner
.He doesnt whine anymore than anyone else these days, especially that desperate piece of **** roush, trying to catch hendrick cheating again
. I can see when people call johnson hotheaded, but the rest of hendrick? Not at all once busch is gone.

Hendrick has the best equipment in the garage.
Jeff Gordon is a fantastic mentor, and JR is smart enough to know he will benefit greatly from being around Jeff.. and Jeff shares his knowledge willingly with his teammates.
Things have been very bumpy in the #5 camp for a long time, no matter what you see or hear in public. there have been rumblings of Kyle to Penske, and of Penske to Toyota for most of the season ..
Still not sure if JR is joing Hendrick, or forming his own team @ JR .. I am hearing both stories, and both from pretty credible sources.
guess we will all know in 90 minutes
