Bigdad,
Tell your boy that I said ROCK ON!

I think I was 7 before I could ride a wheelie for more than 1/2 a pedal.
Ironically I conqured, endos, donkey kicks, stoppies and bunny hops befere I conqured wheelies.... LOL
I will let him know. I think the kids of today are of a diff breed. There is no way we would or could do what they do. The kid from across the street was at the skate park by our house. I can't understand how the get a piece of wood with wheels to do that? I know when I was that young doing a 360 was pro, 720? You were a GOD!!

That brings back memories. Is there a creek nearby? If there is, he'll be in it or over it in a few years time. At least they have better eqipment than we did in the seventies.

I did that one time when I was about 11 with a much bigger ramp ...my bud spooked me as I was gaining speed, I lost control and went up in the air wild like.
That explains a lot!

What a cool kid, reminds me of myself when I was younger. The day my dad took my training wheels off i took off for the neighbors house and we made a ramp. Came back home with a busted elbow etc but i caught some sick air in the meantime.

I dont know if it's so much a different breed, we all just want to do cool things. The only difference is, we pushed the limits when we were kids and inadvertently we raised the bar of what is cool.

Skate boarding wasn't an option for me, I lived in the country, on a dirt road, no where to skate. I wanted a 10 speed so bad, but couldn't even do that with this firma terra. Didnt have mountain bikes back then. Well we did, but you had to be a 6' tall, 150 lb body builder to ride them, they were so big, heavy, bulky and akward. No way a kid could effectively ride them.
