Awesome! . . so why would you even be worried that a dealer would really do something like that? I've never seen a dealer do something like that. When I took delivery of my truck, I noticed a little scratch that couldn't even be seen unless the sun hit it the right way, they gave me my adjustable hitch for it.

Same with the gears. I put MAYBE 100 miles of grandma driving after my gears when in. I Found a backroad and did a couple 0-what ever blasts.
I am doing the proper break in... accelerating harder than you average driver and constantly varying the rpm while driving... cant wait for the 4.10 will make it feel like another 40hp

You know my dealer is top notch when he sells me a mustang for more than $5,000 off the sticker and buys my used car for $2,500 over KBB. Then cuts me 20% on a gear change and gives me free oil changes and will keep most of my warranty even if I put a fat blower on it that sticks out of the hood

Heck yea I would be calling it slow too. My 2002 F-body will school that GT up and down the street all day long probably even with his 4:10's. But once a little boost gets added the story will probably change. Also if you drive the thing like it has boost you WILL break parts. What would the point be in adding a charger and not driving it as hard as it can go??? Hell in stock format and driving it hard part breakage can occur.

Anyway that is a sharp looking Stang....now enjoy it

MM & FF ran a stock 05 mustang GT 13.5 in the quarter. Once the 4.10's are in and with the sticky tires already on there I bet it could go mid to high 12's on a nice track day on 87 octane I think it is funny it runs on 87 right now

Look over at www.moddedmustangs.com guys over there are putting out more than 500 rwhp on stock block mustangs and racing them every weekend. When your out at a store that has magazines, pick up a MM&FF issue and flip through to look at all the stangs in there with over 450 rwhp and perfectly safe...

Even with those mods, there are two "ricers" you'd better watch out for.

Subaru WRX-Sti, Mitsubishi EVO.

Stock for stock, they're already faster and quicker than a Mustang.

That said, I'd take a Mustang over those two any day of the week.

But, I'd take a C6 over any (And I do mean any) Mustang.

Even the knew Shelby KR500 (540 HP) that's coming out.

**************************

For the last year of the C6 bodystyle, Chevy is going to release the "Z07", which will be a 700 HP freak of nature.
The z06 has been spanking the 8.0L Viper at the tracks, so Dodge is releasing a 8.4L Viper rumors to have 650 HP, but- as it stands, the Vette will still have more ponies...

I know STI's and EVO's are quick especially from a dig but I heard the turbo lag is horrible on those things and I dont think they could win from a roll, torque plays a huge role in on-the-roll races...

We have alot of ricers here in Memphis. I like to go hang out with my friends on friday nights up by the big movie theatre becuase there are about 50 restraunts in the area and it is a nice movie theatre. I see the ricers love to hang out in the parking lot there and have seen a couple STI's and an S2000 (already spanked him) the rest are just 4 bangers with bolt ons and a couple of them have low boost turbos... Everytime I use to drive by or go park to see a movie they always start flipping me the bird and screaming ******* You! ******* Muscle Cars! Ect. and they actually keyed my Mach1 but atleast they keyed the hood stripe and not the paint. From now on I hate them with a passion and there is no way I can leave this new car out of sight with them around

The aftermarket cures stock turbo lag.

aftermarket helps lag but there will always be lag with a turbo unless you have twin sequential turbos... My dads old porsche turbo even had lag.
