The city ( drool running out of their desperate mouth ) sends me a bill? I have no recourse? Jezus Christopher, I like accountability. The lack of it in this country is off the charts, and now uncle sugar wants me to be accountable for someone elses actions? Phuc the photo radar. Get out of the coffee shop and write tickets the old fashioned way.
It's your vehicle and ultimately your responsible for it, there are some circumstances that are beyond your control. If a valet or mechanic blew a light and got a ticket that would be pretty easy to figure out wouldn't it? If the date/time on the ticket is 2:05 PM on the 21st and your repair bill shows the truck was in the shop from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the same day. Not too hard to prove it wasn't your fault. A valet getting a ticket would be grounds for a lawsuit against the establishment since the vehicle isn't supposed to leave the lot.

There aren't enough cops to catch all the people who think it's OK to speed and blow through red lights, hence the camera's.......

the only one that beat the camera was the one that flipped over to a diff plate.

but even if it turned out one of those did work, they wouldnt show it on tv, cuz everyone in their mother would go and buy it and start speeding and getting away with it.

I've seen them beaten. They take a picture of the vehicle and the tag. However they don't always take a clear picture of the driver. Some states have taken them out because of that. Can't prove "you" were speeding. They can't give a "vehicle" a ticket and they can't prove that "you" were speeding.

Of course commons sense says it was but they can't "proove" it and that's their burden as the plaintiff.

none of that stuff works you guys are posting, hell mythbusters even took a lambo full speed by one to see if you can just out run the flash and they couldnt. but jamies license plate was the ****, and it worked too.. he use the 007 flip plate though. hell just ware a elvis mask everywhere you go then they will never know who to ticket.

EDIT: Kids, don't try this at home. Leave it to trained professionals.

Can't you buy some sort of clear spray to reflect the light or something?

Not interested, just thought I saw it somewhere.

Tickets in most places are a "personal" offense as opposed to "equipment" (the car/truck) - so usually if the picture doesn't show the driver identifiably, you can get clear of it.

However, like has been said a bunch of times... don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

They sell them for street bikes. I seen them on a website, but can't think what site it was...
I'd rather just stop at the light, I don't like to speed when driving around town. Put me on the freeway and I'll go with the flow...

I live new Davenport Iowa and they have the cameras there as well . But it has been seen as not legal through the Iowa courts . So many people that wereissued tickets may see a refund . It will cost the city dearly . It is in appels right now but it seems as the camers might be coming down .

do a google search for news in Davenport Iowa and you might find what I'm talking about .

I create the flow, I'll do 5 mph over what everyone else is doing, soon someone joins or if I am really lucky an aggresseve driver becomes my bait, and they pass me. If they pass me I'll let them get a little ahead and then I'll pace them. Ussually dosen't take long until I've got 20+ cars doing 20+ mph over the limit. I stay in the middle of the pack, I feel safer there.

There are pileups on the freeways all the time caused by people who drive exactly like that.
