and 3. no, i dont think jimmie, jr, jeff, or tony would be doing as well in a ford, the cars just arent making it happen right now in the series.

He probably won't end up with Hendrix. They already have the maximum of 4 drivers running at Hendrix for next season. A smart move would be going with Gibbs as he has a good relation with Tony Stewart and those two could go after Gordon and Jimmy.
This move was purely personal. What company in their right mind would give up Nascars most popular driver? Maybe he will get the car he deserves to have.

I had read earlier (10:00 AM) on the NASCAR site that Jr was going to start his own team and lease motors from Hendric. I tried to find the link and it appears to be gone. It does seem to me that DEI isn't worth anything without Jr there.

i can be an 8 fan but i cannot stand 8 fans, considering they consist a large portion of teenage girls.

1) sign with a top tier Nextel Cup team [one that wins and runs for the championship
2) sign with a second tier team
3) and the last choice, would be to run Nextel Cup with Dale Jr's own team, JR Motorsports, but no plans for that to happen at this points, Dale Jr. does hope he can drive a few Busch Series [or whatever it will be called in 2008] out of the JR Motorsports shop
He's going to most likely RCR or maybe JGR. Not Hendrick (note the spelling people - no "S" on the end). Hendrick has 4 cars already & I don't see him dumping Mears. He won't be driving the #3. He doesn't feel he's ready for the "responsibility". He could take the 8 with him, if he wants to buy it from TEI (yes I said TEI - it hasn't been DEI in a long time). She wanted $55 million for 51% of TEI, not $75 million.

He says the success of JR Motorsports will be a factor in the team he decides to work with. His transcript doesn't rule out driving for another team, but it definitely focuses on driving for JR Motorsports and co-sourcing with another team to help field a car.

Yup, exactly what he's going to do. Nobody knows what he's doing, not even him. Maybe you should read the transcript.
